TAX
THE RICH
Latin American and the Caribbean is the most unequal region: just 2 individuals hold as much wealth as the poorest 334 million people combined.
The richest 1% in Latin America and the Caribbean possess nearly 55 times more wealth than the poorest half of the region. In fact, the combined wealth of the 98 richest individuals is equivalent to the GDP of both Chile and Ecuador combined.
But the richest aren’t the ones paying the most in taxes!
The top 1% only pays a total of 20% in taxes, much less than the 45% paid in average by the poorest half of the region.
This system is incredibly unjust and unequal.
It's time for a change.
Tax the rich.
LET'S GET REAL.
